  • Contains input in STEM.

The submissions that have the highest points based on the judging criteria will be chosen.

  • 1.0 Duration:
    • 1.1 The PETRONAS StreetSmart Online Video Competition (“Video Competition”) will run from 15/4/2018 and will close at 11.59pm on 15/5/2018. (“Competition Period”).

    • 1.2 Petrosains Sdn Bhd (“Organiser”) shall reserve the right to shorten or extend the Contest Period at its sole discretion without any prior notice.
  • 2.0 Eligibility:
    • 2.1 This Campaign is open to all Malaysian resides in Malaysia.

    • 2.2 Participants age 13 and below are required to fill up consent form by the parents/guardian.

    • 2.3 Employees or agents of the Organiser or any of its group companies or their families or households or anyone connected to this Campaign are not eligible to enter.

    • 2.4 No purchase(s) are necessary to enter.

    • 2.5 How to Participate:
      • 2.5.1 There is one way to participate: www.petronasstreetsmart.com.my (“Website”)
    • 2.6 On Website:
      • 2.6.1 Participants will need to logon to the website and send their submission via online form.

      • 2.6.2 Participants need to prepare a 1-2 minutes’ video for the video competition submission and upload it on YouTube and categorize it as ‘Unlisted’.

      • 2.6.3 Fill up all the necessary info and include the URL of the ‘Unlisted YouTube’ video and send the submission.

    • 2.7 Multiple submissions are allowed; each participant is not eligible to win more than one prize.

    • 2.8 On the Competition Video:
      • 2.8.1 The video has to be about science behind Road Safety. Below are the potential topics but not limited to:
        • Pedestrian safety
        • Cyclist safety
        • Motorcycle safety
        • Car and passenger vehicle safety
      • 2.8.2 Video duration is between 1-2 minutes; it can be in English or Bahasa Melayu. Mix languages is not allowed.

      • 2.8.3 The video must be ORIGINAL and not copied/plagiat from other resources. All sources for storyline, music, etc must be properly credited.

      • 2.8.4 Any camera can be used for shooting; DSLR, Point and Shoot, Smartphone, Go Pro, or Web Cam.

      • 2.8.5 Video recording must be done in Full HD mode or 1080p.
      • 2.8.6 Video captured must be steady and has no shaky footages.
        • Use a tripod, monopod or place camera on a flat surface.
        • Turn on the Stabilization Mode on the camera.
        • Use a video editing software to stabilize the video.
        • Use various techniques to stabilize when shooting handheld
      • 2.8.7 Make sure the audio is clear.
        • Record in a quiet room (studio, small room).
        • Use a clip-on mic.
        • Use a shotgun mic to record audio in front of the camera.
        • Dub the audio and add it later.
        • Use voice over techniques.
    • 2.9 Conditions:
      • 2.9.1 By entering this Campaign, the Participant represents, acknowledges and warrants that the submitted video/photograph/comment is an original work and does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity; and that no other party has any right, title, claim or interest in the entry.

      • 2.9.2 Copyright of all videos/photographs submitted to this competition remains with the Participants. However, by participating in this Campaign, Participants agree to grant the Organiser a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty free, license to use, reproduce, copy, publicly display, sublicense, modify and fully exploit any video/photograph submitted.
    • 2.10 Liability and Responsibility:
      • 2.10.1 By participating in this Campaign, each participant agrees to release and hold the Organiser and its employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives, parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, licensees, advertising, promotion, and fulfilment agencies, and legal advisors, harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the Campaign or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the product, or travel to or from any gift-related activity, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.
    • 2.11 Rights of the Organiser:
      • 2.11.1 Subject to applicable laws and regulations, the Organiser reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions without prior notice.

      • 2.11.2 In case of any dispute, the Organiser reserves the right to make the final decision. The Organiser’s decision is final and no further correspondence or appeal will be entertained.
    • 2.12 Terms of Participation:
      • 2.12.1 By participating in this, the participant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts the Terms and Conditions stated herein and decisions of the Organiser.

      • 2.12.2 By entering, participants agree to grant the Organiser and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, licensees, directors, officers, agents, independent contractors and advertising/promotion agencies the use of his/her name and details without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

      • 2.12.3 The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions without prior notice.
    • 2.13 Privacy Policy: By participating in this Campaign, Participants/ Winners explicitly consents that the Organiser shall store the necessary personal data of the Participants/ Winners. The Participants/Winners is free to revoke his or her consent to the storage of data by sending an email to the Organiser and by doing so, the Participants/ Winners is withdrawing his or her participation in this Contest. The Organiser will use its best endeavours to keep all personal data stored for the purpose of this Program strictly confidential.

    • 2.14 The Organiser reserves the right to reject any post/ Winner at its sole and absolute discretion without having to assign any reasons whatsoever. The Organiser's decision is final. No further correspondence or appeal will be entertained.
